The DanceXtreme Story

DanceXtreme started as a Raymond Terrace branch of The Robyn Yvette Dance and Talent Centre (Nelson Bay), in 1996.

In July of 1998 Libby Blundell became the principal of the Raymond Terrace Branch and re-named the school DanceXtreme.

Libby has been dancing over 30 years, having completed her L.G.T.D.A Tap Teacher’s exam in 1995.

Just a few highlights of her career include

  • Performing a solo at Disneyland in 1994 while on a cultural exchange tour of America.
  • Being a cheerleader for the Super League team “The Hunter Mariners” in 1996-97.
  • Dancing along side Dean Perry’s “Tap Dogs” in the opening ceremony of the Sydney Olympics.

DanceXtreme offers a high standard of tuition in various styles of dance in an enjoyable and happy atmosphere.

The aim is for students to firstly enjoy their classes and make new friends as well as build self-confidence, co-ordination and poise.
